Blog Post #4

Preposition Amusement Park!!

Length: 20 sentences (count, please!)

Describe a day at an amusement park. What do the rides do? What did you do? Walk me through the day.

Example: The Deadly Demon roller coaster twisted up and down, sending me through dark tunnels and making me scream for my mother.

Did you notice how many prepositions I used? That's how many you should try to use in EACH sentence. Sentences without prepositions will not be counted toward your points.

DUE FRIDAY. No late blogs accepted. Please do this during class time as though it was a real journal. We will edit these in class.

Blog Post #3

Please take a moment to review these pictures:

Thailand Flooding

http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2011/10/worst-flooding-in-decades-swamps-thailand/100168/

I would like you to write a 20 sentence "Journal" based upon your reaction to the flooding in Thailand. Use these pictures as a guide, if you'd like. Tell about how the flood has affected you, friends or family. Share what your family is doing to prepare. Let us know what you think and feel about the flood.

This is due today, FRIDAY, October 21, 2001.

Thank you,
Ms. Suzanne

Blog Post #2

Question to Answer:

"You are marooned on a deserted island with three useful things and one completely useless thing.

What are they and how will you use them to survive?"

Use your imagination!!  :)

Due Friday, October 14th, BEFORE midnight. Late, even 1 minute = zero.

Please answer the question using at least 20 sentences (20 sentences = 20 points). Reread your answer out loud to edit and revise before sending.

I recommend you always type it in Microsoft Word first, and then copy and paste it into the blog comments. Two reasons: 1. You will have a back-up in case the website crashes during your post     2. You can check your spelling and grammar.

MAKE SURE YOUR NAME is in your post.

*Reminder* If your response is late, too short or not thoughful, you WILL NOT receive full credit.

Language and Composition Blog

Here is our classroom blog. Welcome!

It will mainly be a place for you to JOURNAL and respond to prompts.

However, it can take on other forms:
1. A place to find out MAJOR homework assignments, test dates or project due dates.
2. A place to read announcements about our class.
3. A place to see videos that can help with our language.

Please check the blog quite frequently. This blog, along with our Facebook Group Page and Edline, will keep you in the loop for our class.

Thanks,
Ms. Suzanne
